I lie down and sleep;

I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Psalm 3:5

Dear Child,

just rest.

Quit striving, cease wrestling

from sunrise to sunset.

Lay your head upon My shoulder

as I sing a lullaby to your soul

give Me your worries and your cares

nestle your heart right here.

You work yourself to a frenzy

when you don’t need to be in a hurry

listen closely to My bidding

hush now, quiet your musings

feel My heart against you beating

be still and know I’m not leaving

just lay down your burden and rest

in Me.

I love Thanksgiving week. It’s so relaxing. Filled with family and friends and food. What could be better?

Here in a few short days, shoppers will be coming out in droves. The usual sereneness of the mall and the stores will be gone and will drive us all a little nuts.

But for this week. This week we can sit and relax. Spend time with the Lord and tell Him all the things we are thankful for.

Listen to praise music and praise Him for who is He and all He has done.

Quit striving and wrestling. Give God our worries and our cares. Rest in His loving arms, and let our sleep be sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

From My Heart to Yours,

Marcie πŸ™‚
