Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;

not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

Peace

feels

like

the

smallest

tiniest

kiss

from

Heaven

only

He

can

give.

A golden glow of the late evening sun caught my eye. White marshmallow clouds dotted a cerulean blue sky.

I quickly grabbed my phone for pictures, and my first thought was, “Perfect peace.”

There’s been few peaceful days lately. Too many things have my attention. Not all of them are bad; in fact, many of the distractions in my life are good. So, why don’t I have peace?

I believe it’s because I haven’t allowed God to give me peace. You know, the peace that passes all understanding. Instead of praying, I’m complaining. Instead of praising, I’m whining. Instead of reading my Bible, I’m working on projects.

Only God can give us complete peace. Our world can be turning upside down and inside out, but when God is first in our lives, underneath all of that can be the most precious of gifts, His peace.

But do we accept His gift? Or do we keep pushing Him away, hoping everything will just magically get better?

“Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.” *

I love kisses from heaven. They’re usually so unexpected, like golden sunsets and cotton candy clouds.

Thank You, Lord, for Your peace.

From My Heart to Yours,

Marcie 🙂
