A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling.
Psalm 46:1-3
I need You Lord. I need Your peace surrounding me as I float in the middle of this ocean.
It’s Monday the worst day of the week.
The weekend is over, there’s much work to be done,
why, oh why, did Monday have to come?
It’s Tuesday, and Lord, sometimes I like this day
not nearly as bad as the one called Monday
a little more energetic, not quite the heavy load
I think I can stand to get through this one alone.
It’s Wednesday, my Lord , what joy!
Got through Monday and Tuesday, oh boy!
But here I am Lord stuck in the middle
help me be brave as I muddle and struggle.
It’s Thursday, oh Lord, I’m getting tired
can Friday come soon so I can retire?
Files are stacked, so many emails to answer
how can we make this end any faster?
It’s Friday! Praise the Lord! Friday has arrived!
We made it, we did it, we came through each fire!
Now just to tie up a few loose ends here and there
then I’ll go home and enjoy my nice reclining chair.
Saturday and Sunday, Lord thank You for the rest.
I know it’s only through You that I’ve done my best
to get through the week without gripe or complain
thank You, precious Jesus, for this healing weekend rain.
And now as I look toward another full week
may I gaze at it, Lord, with Your eyes as I seek
to honor You in all that I say and do
may all who are near see I made it because of You.

Help me to hold on to You through everything I do.
Be with me all week Lord, as I seek to honor You.
May all I think, say, and do, give You all honor and glory.
Shine Your light through my heart so all will see You and not me.
Let no evil proceed from my lips and no harmful thoughts intrude into my mind. I take captive each imagination and give them to You.
It’s one of those weeks Lord, I’d rather not do, but You say not to be afraid or dismayed—I can do all things with You. Your Presence goes with me wherever I am; behind me, before me, Beginning and End.
Now I lay me down to sleep, my worries and cares I give You to keep. My mind unweary, my soul at peace, as You wrap me in Your love everlasting.

How busyness can consume us at times! I'm ever thankful that the Lord gets me through those times with grace.
Blessings, Marcie!
