Day 4

 

 

Pray Without Ceasing

 

Sometimes we know not what to pray

we fall to our knees too burdened to say

a single word, or a breath to take

frustration and fears, tears cascade

O Lord, how do we make it through today?

The prayer that is earnest, even in haste

is the prayer God hears more than anything

and He will quiet us with His love

no matter the words or

just an utterance from our tongue.

We need not be vocal, we need not lament,

(though sometimes we do I admit)

the heart that seeks God above all else

is the prayer that will always prevail.

Pray without ceasing, all the day long

pray in your spirit with thanksgiving and song,

pray to your Father, He’ll make you strong.

Don’t worry, don’t waver, believe He will do

all the things you have asked Him to.

In your belief, go boldly to His throne

keep praying my friend, making your requests known.

He’ll never leave you, He knows what you need,

pray my dear friend, pray in faith and believe.
