Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
Psalm 116:7
My tire went flat
my finger was smashed
oh what a week it has been!
Too busy to be
the friend that you need
and my head, oh it pounds
like each time my heart beats.
Feeling a little left out
but I’m not gonna pout
it’s kinda my fault anyway
In need of a break
from all of this craze
can anyone help me out?

I read in God’s word
how He cares for the birds
yet He loves me even more than they
He’s calling me to rest
from all of this mess
think I’ll lean my head against His breast.
It’s so quiet here
don’t think I’ll dare
move from this spot for awhile
This comfort I feel
nothing compares in this world
with a sigh I close my eyes and smile.

It’s summertime, isn’t it?

Well, you wouldn’t know it around here. Both my husband and I have been extremely busy and it doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Unfortunately, with all of the busyness has also come hard times with my family. My body just doesn’t know what to do with all of this stress.

If you suffer from Tinnitus, then you know how annoying it can be. Especially if it persists often. I have Tinnitus in my right ear 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But most the time I don’t really notice it anymore. Tonight, it is louder than usual and isn’t helping my headache at all. Plus, it can cause me to feel sick. Even better, is a new type of Tinnitus I have acquired in my left ear—my good ear. It’s whooshing and it, too, happens mostly when I’m under too much stress or my sinus’s are acting up.

This is how I know it is time to take a break. Time to get quiet and still. Take time to relax and get away from it all.

I don’t think God meant us to be so busy we get consumed by our work and overloaded. I don’t believe God meant for us to make ourselves crazy by always saying yes to everything and not taking time to spend with Him and with our families and friends.

Summertime is usually a time to slow down, go on vacation, and breathe a little easier. So if you don’t see me on social media as much, don’t be alarmed. I’m just resting in Jesus’ arms.

I hope you will too.

From My Heart to Yours,
Marcie
