But it is good for me to draw near to God;
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
That I may declare all Your works.
Psalm 73:28

MOVE ME CLOSER

Draw me closer to Your side
In Your shadow I want to hide

Let me walk deep in Your footsteps
You are the vine I am the branch

As I sit in front of this Christmas tree
Lead me to worship down on my knees

Wrap me in Your afghan of warmth
Around my shoulders Your love is sure

As I sit basking in sweet memories
May I always remember You came for me

Draw me close to Your manger bed
But don’t let me forget how You bled

In this Christmas time dear Lord
May I remember who You are

The One born to die for me
The One who came to set me free

Move me ever closer to You Lord
Not just now, but forevermore.

“So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.  And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.” Luke 2:15-20
