Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Psalm 34:8
Be Thou my vision, Lord,
that I may see
all of the wonderous things
You would have for me.
Be Thou my hearing, Lord,
that may know
the turns and the places
You would have me to go.
Be Thou my thoughts, Lord,
that I may think
wholesome and pure ponderings
You would have me to keep.
Be Thou my tongue, Lord,
so I may taste
the goodness and blessings
to sing praise to Your name.
Be Thou my hands, Lord,
that I may touch
hearts and minds of those
You would bring to my door.
Be Thou my feet, Lord,
that I may go
to the places and purposes
You would direct in my soul.
Be Thou my heart Lord
the most important part
the daughter You’ve made me
to be a light in the dark.

Thank you Lord for giving us the different, precious senses in our bodies. We’re so lucky to have senses. To touch, taste, smell, feel, and love. I take them for granted so much, I forget how very important they are to my life and the ways I live.
As the children’s song says:
“Senses, aren’t we lucky to have senses
Senses, so very lucky to have senses,
but I love with my heart
that’s the most important part.”1
From my Heart to Yours,
Marcie
