Be Still & Know

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10

Be Still & Know

The house is quiet
no one here
except me and my Lord
whom is always near.

Basking in the silence
I sit
alone with the Lord
I come to Him.

In prayer I bow
humbly now
not one word on my lips
but from within do I give.

For there is no other
on whom I can depend
no one else in the world
can listen like Him.

And in the silence
the awe of His presence
I feel His Spirit
as He speaks and whispers,

“Be still and know that I am God.”
