Day 30

I Promise

I promise.

I promise it is going to be okay.

No matter what happens today

or tomorrow, or what happened yesterday.

It’s always darkest right before dawn

So, my friends, just hold on.

And when we’re all trying to breathe,

know that God is faithfully working.

We may not like what we see

But never forget this one thing:

Jesus came to give us peace

comfort and joy, goodwill to men.

He’s not left us comfortless

put your trust in Him

and I promise you this:

all will be right in the end.

For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

Thank you all for joining me through 30 Days of Thanksgiving 2020. Should you have missed any of them, you can find them all right here on this page of my website: Pondering the Poetic Heart. I hope each of these poems have been a reminder to us to pause each day to give thanks to our Lord. Whether it be for one thing, or a lot of things, it is good to give thanks to the Lord each day. And, if you really enjoyed what you’ve read this month, please consider following my website or subscribing to receive a poem and devotion each week from me.

~With many thanks ~

From My Heart to Yours,
Marcie 🙂
