And my God shall supply all your need according to

His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

KISSES FROM HEAVEN

Feathers drifting lazily on the breeze

Sunbeams dazzle, nights moonbeams

Fogs mist over fields of golden poppies

Diamonds sparkle on ocean peaks.

Breezes whisper, tall grasses breathe

Clouds become angels white silken wings

Music notes tinkle as wind chimes sing

Rain drops showers singing quiet melodies.

Words softly spoken for my heart to see

Kisses from heaven just for you and me

Floating down on notes of God’s amazing grace.

It’s been a difficult weekend. At first, I wasn’t really impacted by the news I received on Friday, but little by little, it grew on me. By Monday, I had no peace of mind or soul.

I’m not used to being an anxious person. I am not by nature a worrier. So, I became more and more frustrated the longer I tried to deal with my emotions.

Knowing my God is a good God, a loving God, I knew in my heart if I just asked Him, He would provide whatever I needed to overcome these feelings of fear and discontent.

I buried my face in my hands and cried out to God for help.

I asked specifically for peace. I just wanted peace. I re-read the verses from John 14 promising the Holy Spirit as my comforter and sought out the peace He promises in verse 27. Peace only God can give.

I then made my way to Philippians chapter four. As a side note, remember, Philippians was written while the Apostle Paul was in jail. And here he is, telling me to rejoice always and to be anxious for nothing. Not one thing. When I bring my requests before God through thanksgiving, He will give me peace. And, not just any peace, but the peace that surpasses ALL understanding.

That was the peace I was looking for—longing for. Such an unexplainable peace even I couldn’t fathom.

Wouldn’t you know it? He gave me that peace. It was a simple kiss from heaven A quietness of heart, soul, and mind.

God promises to provide us with all of our needs. I like how the New Revised Standard Version translates Philippians 4:19:

And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (emphasis mine)

Fully satisfy. Not just give a little. Not just give an abundance. Nope. Fully and completely satisfied is what we will get when we seek Him with all our hearts and ask Him for it.

Are you needing a kiss from heaven? Some peace? Some help in some other area of your life? I have a great big God who will bend over backward to provide everything you need. All you have to do is ask.

From My Heart to Yours,

Marcie 😊
