Let them praise the name of the Lord,

   for his name alone is exalted;

   his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

And he has raised up for his people a horn,

   the praise of all his faithful servants,

   of Israel, the people close to his heart.

PRAISE THE LORD!

 

Praise the Lord for blessings dear

from those have so close and near

for the things from our Lord we hear

at just the right time.

 

Praise Him for His Word of Life

for His salvation to grasp tight

and tender mercies we can share

for love Him who really cares.

 

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow

thank Him for His grace bestowed

of which is given in abundant love

to those of us in Him we trust.

 

Praise Him! Praise Him! Lift your voice!

Sing His praises, shout for joy!

Clap your hands with thanksgiving

give the Lord the praise that is due Him!

 

Praise and worship to Him give

Praise Him, for our Redeemer lives!

Be ye joyful forevermore

Lord, I praise You from the depths of my innermost being. I praise You for the gift of life and the blessings you rain down upon me, day by day.

 

The world around me is feeling a bit crazy. The earth is groaning and cracking. There is much confusion, depression, and despair.

 

But You, O Lord, are my strength and my shield. You comfort me when I feel worried and afraid. You remind me, even when I feel alone, I am not truly alone.

 

Thank You.

 

Help me Lord, to remember to praise You at all times even when I don’t feel like it will do me any good. Help me Lord, to get out of my own head, and focus on You instead.

 

And when I lay my head down at night, help me to hear Your songs as You sing over me and let Your peace reign within my heart.
