Love came down

from heaven above

a most precious gift

Jesus, God’s son

born of a virgin

a life lived, sinless

savior for sinners

like you and me.

A birthday of joy

for all girls and boys

men and women too

I celebrate yours

you celebrate mine

why shouldn’t we

celebrate His too?

Love came down

in a most unlikely way

a simple babe

in a manger he lay

Bethlehem his home he made.

Shepherds came, angels sang

of peace on earth good will to men

2,000 years later

we still celebrate him.

Happy birthday Jesus!
