I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD;
I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
Psalm 71:16
In my darkest days
You are my Refuge
In my wandering heart
You are my Guide
In my lost soul
You are my Salvation
In my broken days
You are my Wings
In my weakness
You are my Strength
In my troubled spirit
You are my Peace
In my happiest joys
You are my Laughter
In all that I do, all that I say
You are my Rock, my Hope, my Stay.

Rain splattered the windshield echoing the sentiments of my heart. Ditches overflowed not able to contain their load like the overflowing of my burdens.
I needed peace. But peace seemed as impossible as a day without rain.
In my weariness, I continued to drive toward my home.
I was craving time to myself. Time without distractions. Time with Jesus.
He must have heard my cry. He must have known.
Slowly the darkened clouds began to part. And there in the middle of the sky, in plain sight through my windshield, a patch of blue.
A window into heaven itself.
I didn’t want it to go away. As I drove I kept searching for that patch of blue. My hope. My comfort. My joy. My inspiration.
Pulling into the driveway I almost leapt from my car in anticipation, camera in hand. And there, in the sky, was my own personal window to heaven. A glimpse of Jesus was all I needed.
I’ve begun to remind the Lord of His promises as I pray. He has answered back in ways I had not anticipated. And with each time I cry out to Him, He becomes my Refuge. My Strength and my Song.
Are you needing a glimpse of Jesus today? Call out to Him. Tell Him what you need. Ask Him for your own personal window in the sky.
From My Heart to Yours,
Marcie
