the people he chose for his inheritance.” Psalm 33:12
My heart is heavy Lord
with burdens too great
struggles too hard
scars buried too deep.
Our nation is sinking
we need Your intervening
please Lord,
come heal our land.
Thank You for our freedoms
Thank You for our blessings
Thank You, Lord,
for keeping us in Your hands.
May we always remember
You are our Creator
You are our Savior
Only You can change hearts.
We seek You on bended knee
we love You Lord
in Jesus’ name we plead
we pray, we ask
Amen, Lord, Amen.

I am one of the most patriotic persons you will ever know. I love my country. I love our freedoms. I love our flag. I love our history.
My ears and my head do not enjoy the sound of fireworks anymore so most years we spend our Fourth of July at home. I always order pizza and we watch the fireworks shows on television.
But just because I’m at home doesn’t mean I don’t stand when the national anthem is played. I sing loudly along with all of the songs and I praise God for my country.
This morning during church our pastor asked us to pray with him for our nation. We prayed for our president, our congress, our leaders, our military and for ourselves. We prayed that God would send revival once again. We asked for revival to begin with us.
My heart has been burdened for a long time for our nation. I pray revival will begin with me.
Amen, Marcie! I'm right there with you when it comes to loving this country and praying for all of us.
Have a blessed Fourth!
Marcie, When I interviewed David Kubal, CEO of Intercessors for America (IFA), he reported that many hearts are burdened for our nation and joining together in prayer. As difficult as times might seem, I sense the Holy Spirit spurring hearts to revival! I stand with you and many others in prayer for the USA. In fact, I will be spending the next hour on a conference call line with many others from IFA, praying. What a privilege God bless you, sister and God bless America!
That's wonderful Beckie! Thank you for sharing that with me. 🙂
