I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
I will meditate on Your precepts,
And contemplate Your ways.
I will delight myself in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.
Psalm 119:14-16

The Last Leaf

As the leaves make their change
may I also shed my sin for grace

when the last leaf falls
may my faith tumble deeper

while I watch the storms
scatter each fallen leaf

help my heart to float upon
the wind of Your breath

carrying me gently until I can land
gratefully, peacefully into Your hands

of safety and rest.

O, Lord, do not let me forget Your words. Let the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.

O Lord, as we enter into this week may our feet walk in faith and the knowledge that You are with us. As we journey into the middle of the week, help us to keep our focus on You and You alone. Not letting the hard parts of the week weigh us down. As we end the week, may it be on the breath of Your wings carrying us safely into the weekend where we can rest in You.

When we encounter difficult situation or difficult people, may we extend grace upon grace. When we feel burdened by circumstances, help us to remember You are at the end of the driveway waiting with open arms for us to run to You.

Thank You, Lord, for the afflictions of this world. For without the afflictions, our hearts would be afloat, drifting on the wind, never finding a sure place to land and feel secure.

Today I choose to trust You Lord. Today I choose to believe that You are here with me. Today I choose You.

Today I close my eyes and let myself fall. Fall into the arms of Your love.
