Yearning for God

Sometimes I think I’ve heard it all
there’s nothing more to learn
but it’s become clear
God has so much more for me to hear.

There are days I need correction
other days I need more proof
some days I need instructions
while others inspire in quietude.

I’m so grateful to be reminded
with child-like faith I must come
to always be yearning and ever learning
Your great timeless truth in love.
