Pondering The Poetic Heart
Pondering the Poetic Heart is a place to guide our spirits into place of contemplative rest. As a poet, I long to encourage you to find hope and healing through the process of reflecting on God, love, life, and all things that capture the spirit through the written word.
In the month of November, I will lead us through a time of thanksgiving through my 30 Days of Thanksgiving Poems. In December we will ring the bells of Christmas. There will also be other times through the year when we will celebrate love, just for fun poetry, and more. I pray this will be a place of loving contentment for all of us.
Be Still & Know
A reminder to take time to sit quietly with God and let Him speak to your heart, mind, and soul.
Lead Me Lord
May you feel close to our Lord this week as we meditate on the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. May your heart be filled with peace overflowing and a joy in knowing He is not dead, He is risen, indeed.
Springing in Hope
If you are struggling today, it’s time to hold on to Jesus. Hold on to hope. Hold on to faith. Hold on to his everlasting, never-ending, love without condition.
Because when you have Jesus, you have hope and life. Life more abundant.
All Those Precious Little Senses
Thank you Lord for giving us the different, precious senses in our bodies. We’re so lucky to have senses. To touch, taste, smell, feel, and love. I take them for granted so much, I forget how very important they are to my life and the ways I live.
Dear God, Are You There?
When we fervently, sincerely, genuinely, honestly, openly seek God He will find us and we will find Him. He will satisfy us with from the springs of everlasting water only He can provide.
Our Faithful God
The storms may rage outside, but right here, right now, in this place there is The Presence of peace. Because these storms are no match for Jesus. The One who calms and restores.
The One who stands beside us and speaks, “Peace. Be still.”
Still Growing Up
The funny thing about the desert is, it is barren and dry. Have you been drinking from God’s well? Are you cupping your hands in the waters of life and taking deep gulps of His grace?
A Psalm to the LORD
No matter what time of day it is, whatever you are going through, give it to God. Giving praise to God for His presence and provision.
Your peace, O Lord,
Covers me
When my world is tumbling.
Most Precious
I didn’t ask for flowers
I didn’t ask for cards
I didn’t ask for candy
Though they show precious love.
I didn’t ask for money
I didn’t ask for gold
I didn’t ask for diamonds
Though they’re lovely to behold.
