Solitude’s Song
Can solitude be wrapped up inside,
instead of outside?
Not because of sadness,
but open ears and closed eyes?
In a world of chaos, there is a difficulty in finding a place of solitude. As a stay-at-home-mother, I often found it almost impossible to find a time of respite or retreat. This poem is a look at how to find such a place of peace without leaving home.
A Lamp Unto My Feet
Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Just a short poem of prayer for guidance and peace from the Lord.
Yearning and Learning
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” ~ Dr. Seuss

Breathing a sigh saying, “Thank you, Lord.”
Raising hands in the sky in a worshipful pose

words spilling forth in hushed prose
Down on knees in great agony
Tears spilling forth pleading not my will but yours. . . .
Little Birdie on the Fence
April is National Poetry Month! I’m slow getting started this year writing poems each day. Here’s a short little poem I wrote being entertained by this little bird while I ate my lunch a few days ago. 🙂
Don’t Lose Heart
Let not your heart be troubled
that’s what the Good Book says,
be anxious for nothing
let your soul resonate with this. . . .
The Lord is on Your Side
. . .sometimes God changes our plans. A family situation arose, I had to go home early.
To say I was unhappy and emotional would be an understatement. Confusion set in, and I became unsure I’d heard the Lord clearly all these months.
Tired and anxious, I lay down in our room. Almost immediately an old hymn I haven’t heard in years wormed its way through my mind.
