Let’s Just Praise the LORD!

Let’s Just Praise the LORD!

Lord, I praise You from the depths of my innermost being. I praise You for the gift of life and the blessings you rain down upon me, day by day.
The world around me is feeling a bit crazy. The earth is groaning and cracking. There is much confusion, depression, and despair.

But You, O Lord, are my strength and my shield. You comfort me when I feel worried and afraid. You remind me, even when I feel alone, I am not truly alone.

A Poem and a Prayer

A Poem and a Prayer

Just as I am
Holding nothing back
Myself to give
It is all I have . . .

This is as simple as it gets. He cannot guide what He does not have. And if I am not abiding in Him daily, then I cannot be guided by His Spirit and His wisdom.

Whispers on the Wind

Whispers on the Wind

There is a hush. A calm. Swish, swish, swish. A gentle breeze floating across the water.

Just moments ago, a storm raged billowing the sea. Tumultuous waves bore down upon the boat causing it to careen dangerously to the side. The men on the boat clung to whatever they could get their hands on in their frightened state.

Could this be the end of their lives? Will they survive?

Inspirationally Yours

Inspirationally Yours

Morning dawned. I thought I was ready to start my day, so I opened Facebook and began to scroll through my newsfeed. It didn’t take long until I was wishing I hadn’t.

Facebook had become Complain-book. Every other post seemed to be complaining about our worldwide situation in some form or another. I had to get off.

How about you? Are you having trouble finding inspiration in your days right now? Are you being more of a debby-downer or a smileyhappy?

He Had You On His Mind

He Had You On His Mind

At the end of Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, he exhorts us to do four things:

Watch
Stand fast in our faith
Be brave
Be strong

In the chapter before this (1 Corinthians 15), Paul explains to us why it is important Christ’s resurrection happened. Basically, in a nutshell, he tells us, if Christ had not risen from the dead, then our faith is also dead. Believing Jesus rose from the dead is the single most important aspect of our faith.

Sure, there were others who also came back to life. But, each of those individuals died again. However, Jesus Christ not only rose from the dead, He continues to live today. And that, my friends, is what makes our Christian faith so phenomenal.

Tiny Faith

Tiny Faith

Many people assured me the miracle I was waiting on would happen. I wanted to believe them; yet, at the same time, I was also receiving messages from others telling me it’s in God’s hands and His timing and sometimes what I want to have happen, may not happen when I want it to. I needed to let go of what I wanted so I could just focus on God and let it be in His timing.

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I was so confused! Which one was it? Who could I believe? What should I believe?

My questions were many, but answers and peace were nowhere in sight.

Awake My Soul, Oh Lord

Awake My Soul, Oh Lord

This day was made for us. Just for us. Each of us.

It was made for me, individually. But, it was also made for you, just you.

A present from our heavenly Father, each day is a gift we should be grateful for. Yes, even the days that are dreary and the days that are downright scary.

It Will Be All Right

It Will Be All Right

“…in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.”

The truth is, I don’t want to write about what we are going through as a nation right now. I don’t want to think about it. I don’t want to talk about it. I know if it is getting on my last nerve to see others writing and posting about it, I am absolutely sure, many of you are too.

Are You Willing?

Are You Willing?

… Now, who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?” … Anyone who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the Lord in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite. The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely...
