Snow White Grace

Snow White Grace

Have you ever thought of snow blanketing the ground as God’s forgiveness and grace?

Snow falls like grace
blanketing the ground
in snow white forgiveness
ushering in a season
of rest to parched souls.

The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift

Lord,
the day has ended
thought now I could breathe
but
I still have so much to do
to put things under our tree.
Perhaps we have mistaken
material gifts to be
the most important aspect
of our Christmas theme.

Love Came Down

Love Came Down

Some say Christmas is not Christmas without Christ. Jesus Christ, the one born to save us from our sins. What say you?

Love came down
in a most unlikely way
a simple babe
in a manger he lay
Bethlehem his home he made.
Shepherds came, angels sang
of peace on earth good will to men
2,000 years later
we still celebrate him.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Well, here we are. It’s the end of November, which means this is the last poem of our 30 days. I hope you’ve enjoyed them and maybe even some have spoken to your heart in some way.

So, here we are, the end of the month
I’d like to share one thing more
a prayer for us all, to finish the year off
in gratefulness to our Lord.

Windowpane Prayers

Windowpane Prayers

Thankful to God who answers our prayers. No matter how big or small they are. No matter if you are very young or old. God answers prayer.

The dreariest weather ever
fog and mist settle
there’s no possible way
her prayers would reach heaven.

In the Light of Thanksgiving

In the Light of Thanksgiving

During the daytime it can be easier to think on things to be thankful for, but in the quietness of the night, it can be a harder choice.

In the light of Thanksgiving
it’s easy to give thanks
when with family and friends
around full tables and plates.
